Sixteenth seminar of the new Xylella Seminar Series jointly organised by the EU funded Bexyl project, EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and Auburn University.  Martina Cendoya, Valencian Institute for Agricultural Research (IVIA), Spain, gave a presentation entitled Spread modelling to improve surveillance and management of Xylella fastidiosa outbreaks. Dr. Cendoya obtained her PhD in Statistics and Optimisation from the University of Valencia, focusing on spatial models for the analysis of diseases caused by Xylella fastidiosa. She is currently a biostatistician at the Valencian Institute of Agricultural Research (IVIA), Spain, where she continues her research on epidemiological models to improve X. fastidiosa management.
