Xylella Seminar: A physiologically-based approach to model Xylella fastidiosa epidemiological dynamics
Author
Description
Nineteenth seminar of the new Xylella Seminar Series jointly organised by the EU funded Bexyl project, EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and Auburn University. Igor Weber, University of Brescia (UNIBS), Italy, gave a presentation titled A physiologically-based approach to model Xylella fastidiosa epidemiological dynamics. Igor Weber is a Ph.D. student in Technologies and Processes for the Environment and Agriculture at UNIBS. His research focuses on developing an integrated modelling framework that realistically simulates the epidemiological dynamics of Xylella fastidiosa by incorporating key biological processes and their interactions with environmental drivers. The framework serves as a strategic tool to explore risk scenarios and assess management strategies for Xylella fastidiosa outbreaks.
