As part of the Bexyl project, it is intended to identify key success factors for an effective response to the Xylella fastidiosa epidemic and highlight weaknesses in management, financing, controls, research, communication processes and the development process itself of policies. Particular attention is paid to all interested/involved economic figures, including policy makers, plant protection personnel, media, farmers, etc. The strengths and weaknesses that will emerge from the questionnaire analysis, accompanied by other studies, will serve to draw lessons to improve the EU's response to epidemics. The objectives of the survey are to identify and understand the need, effectiveness and application of actions taken to combat the spread of Xylella fastidiosa and to examine stakeholders' perspectives in relation to the actions taken. Therefore, the knowledge and experience of different stakeholders is key to learning from the Xylella epidemic, developing more effective regulations and strategies to protect our communities, agriculture and the environment.
