Fifteenth seminar of the new Xylella Seminar Series jointly organised by the EU funded Bexyl project, EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and Auburn University.  Matt Daugherty, University of California, Riverside, USA  gave a presentation entitled Slowing the invasion of the glassy-winged sharpshooter: effectiveness of a nursery quarantine program. Dr. Daugherty´s research and extension activities focus on the ecology and management of invasive insects and vector-borne plant diseases. Recent projects include studies of the factors driving Pierce’s disease resurgence in Northern California vineyards, the invasion dynamics of the Asian citrus psyllid, and risk assessment of a moth pest complex in California vineyards.
